Dawn Rouslin passed away on August 16, 2015 after a courageous struggle with breast cancer. She will long be missed, and there is a Bodhi Tree planted for her at the Sacred Groves Garden of Remembrance. Dawn’s will left an endowment for Auroville, where she had hoped to live one day before she became ill. Dawn was a devotee of Sri Aurobindo and Mother, to whom she was introduced by Eugene (Mickey) Finn in 1970. She was a resident at Matagiri, under the guidance of Sam Spanier and Eric Hughes, from 1972 to about 1975. Hers was a dazzlingly pure and rebellious spirit.
